The day began in darkness, long before sunrise, deep in a remote wilderness where human presence feels temporary and small. Guided only by headlamps, we crossed a frozen bog toward low hides hidden in the landscape, the silence broken only by cracking ice beneath our boots. As dawn slowly emerged behind heavy clouds, eagles appeared almost unnoticed — silent, watchful, and entirely at home in a place where time moves at nature’s pace.
